supports the project
ROCKLAND – June
12, 2008 – The City of Clarence-Rockland’s Recreational and Cultural
Fundraising Campaign Cabinet is proud of the trust shown by the Royal
Bank of Canada. This financial institution presented
the fundraising campaign with a contribution of $10,000 towards the
Complex and a contribution of $10,000 to the National Capital Region
YMCA- YWCA.
“RBC is committed to supporting
endeavors that empower organizations to make a difference and inspire
others. Through funding from the RBC Foundation, donations are
intended to create social and economic opportunities that strengthen
health and wellbeing in the communities where we do business,” mentioned
Anne St-Louis, Director of the RBC Rockland Branch.
“The need for quality, affordable
after school community programs continues to grow throughout the
region. The
Y is truly appreciative of the generous support from the Royal
Bank to provide an afterschool program in Clarence-Rockland,” stated
Tony Pacheco, President and CEO of the NCR Y.
Although summer is synonymous with holidays and rest, the Campaign
Cabinet will actively continue its fundraising activities. The Special
Events Committee is hard at work and will be organizing many fundraising
activities during the summer months. We invite the population to
come and see us during community events in order to learn more about
this exciting project and to support us.
“As Co-Chair of this fundraising
campaign, I find that this announcement is very motivating. I
sincerely thank RBC for its trust and its support,” concluded Mr. Alain Potvin,
Fundraising Campaign Co-Chair.
