
National Bank donates $25,000
to the City of Clarence-Rockland
OTTAWA – January 26,
2007 – National
Bank is pleased to support the City of Clarence-Rockland, Ontario
in its “Building the heart of our community” fundraising campaign
with a $25,000 donation.
The Bank’s contribution will enable the municipality to build a
recreational and cultural centre to meet the needs of its growing
population and foster cultural exchanges.
National Bank and the City of Clarence-Rockland
share a common interest in the community’s well-being. With
the new centre, hundreds of students will have everyday access
to a gym, pool, sports centre, auditorium and library, all under
one roof.
In 2006, the Bank and its subsidiaries, through corporate donations,
sponsorships, in-branch fundraising activities and various benefit
events, gave $19.5 million to hundreds of Canadian education, health
care, cultural and community organizations.
