Clarence-Rockland Challenge
The perfect family activity
ROCKLAND – September
26, 2008– The Special Events Committee for the City
of Clarence-Rockland’ Recreational and Cultural Complex is organizing
its second Clarence-Rockland Challenge, on the morning of October
5th. Last year, the activity attracted approximately 200 participants
and raised more than $2,000 for the Complex and the same amount for
the Stéphane Parisien Foundation.
The Clarence-Rockland Challenge is a walk or run of 5 km for adults
and of 1 km for children in the streets of Rockland. The starting
point will be the Jean-Marc Lalonde arena at 9:30 am for the 1 km
course and at 10:30 am for the 5 km course. It is not a race and
people can cover the distance at their pace.
“I loved last year’s experience and I am proud to organize
the second edition. It is an ideal family activity,” mentioned
Julie Budd, organizer of the event.
It’s easy to participate. People can get a pledge sheet at the City
of Clarence-Rockland Townhall and find $20 worth of sponsors. It is
possible to register on the day of the event.
