On March 20th, with its partners the Conseil scolaire de district
catholique de l’Est ontarien, the National Capital’s YMCA-YWCA
and the Public Library, the City of Clarence-Rockland proceeded
with the sod turning ceremony, marking the construction start.
Less than a week later, the Honorable Jim Watson, Ontario’s Health
Promotion Minister, was at the École secondaire L’Escale to
give a $3 million financial contribution to the project. These
activities, combined with today’s announcements, are giving a renewed
energy to our volunteers working on the fundraising campaign.
